Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Carpenter will perform general duties as directed by the Construction Manager. The Carpenter will be contributing to the production at the worksite in a safe, efficient and effective manor. As well as, be familiar with the construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction materials and assist with other carpentry tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling.
- Follow blueprints, specifications, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality work.
- Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized worksite and assist in tool and equipment management.
- Work collaboratively within a team, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
- Eligible and eager to register as an Apprentice.
- Previous construction or carpentry experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in learning and developing a career in carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (training will be provided).
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license considered an asset.
