Oil Burner Mechanic (Tcb - Behchoko)

Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB) is 100% owned by the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC). We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in Behchokǫ̀, NT:

Oil Burner Mechanic (Oil Heat Systems Technician)

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance and service
• Lay out oil burner heating system components and assemble components using proper tools
• Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely
• Complete appropriate daily paperwork for each service call
• Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity
• Travel to other communities and worksites to perform duties as required for business purposes

Requirements:

• Licensed Oil Burner Heating Technician (Oil Burner Mechanic)
• 5+ years of experience an asset
• Good communication and effective listening skills
• Ability to work independently and productively
• Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
• Ability to speak/understand the Tlicho language would be considered an asset

This position requires an individual with proven ability to work in a cross cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity. Candidates must be open and flexible to perform other duties as required.

This is a temporary position working Monday to Friday. TCB offers a competitive remuneration package.
