Who We Are

Det'on Cho We Le Dai LP operating as Keskorie Boarding Home is 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. We promote a positive and supportive workplace focused on growth, teamwork and the care for our employees and are seeking a Part-Time Shuttle Driver for the Keskorie Boarding Home. Keskorie is a cultural oriented and friendly work environment that houses people from all over the Territory.

What you will do

Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Shuttle Driver is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome ensuring seamless transitions for our guests. The hours of work are from Monday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day.

A Day in the Life

• Welcoming new clients / patients
• Drive safely and obey all traffic laws to ensure patients are transported in a safe and timely manner
• Perform walk-around inspection of vehicle each shift (before start and end of shift)
• Complete Incident Report when required
• Complete Daily Pre-Shift Vehicle Inspection Checklist
• Communicating with Reception on pickups, drop offs and deliveries of patients prescriptions
• Assist with client's luggage when required

What You Bring

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience
• Class 4 or Class 3 Driver's License
• Able to provide a Driver's Abstract
• Ability to speak an Aboriginal language and knowledge of culture be an asset.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and trustworthy
• Standard First Aid w/CPR, AED
• Willing to undergo a Security Clearance Background Check
• Ability to follow company processes, policies and procedures
