This is a term position from May 2025 to September 2025.
This internship is a paid position.
P&H Milling
P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.
Your Role
Reporting to the Head Miller, the Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring a safe workplace and for the housekeeping and sanitation in the Flour Mill.
Day to Day
Maintain the high level of housekeeping and sanitation standard in the Mill.
Relieve the 2nd Miller to cover off vacations and/or emergency needs.
Assist the Millers and 2nd Millers in some repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Comply with all related Standard Operating Procedures and complete all required reports according to BRC/HACCP/Food Safety program.
Follow and comply with all policies and procedures under the Health and Safety program.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Food Science, Millwright, Maintenance or related field program.
Previous experience working in a grain terminal or flour mill operations is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
Ability to work on shift, overtime and weekends if required.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work in a dusty and high noise environment.
