Position Overview

We're seeking a Vice President of Product to join our executive team, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. This role is ideal for a highly driven individual with a deep expertise in SaaS platforms, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Big Data. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Vision & Leadership

  • Collaborate with the CSO to craft the product vision

  • Lead cross-functional teams to align and execute on this vision, ensuring it aligns with overall company objectives.

  • Represent the Engineering/R&D function to key external stakeholders

  • Regularly interact with customers and users to gather feedback and insights, integrating them into the product vision and roadmap.

  • Build organizational capability within the engineering teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and creating an environment where that talent can thrive and collaborate — by providing mentoring, training, and other opportunities for professional growth and development

  • Understand the company's protectable technologies and core technical competencies and in collaboration with Legal, manage the company's patent portfolio.

• Product Roadmap & Scalability

  • Develop and execute a product roadmap with a strong emphasis on Machine Learning, Generative AI, and scalability.

  • Incorporate user experience and design thinking principles into the product development process.

  • Foster an agile and adaptive development environment, promoting rapid iteration and responsiveness to market changes.

  • Champion technical best practices in partnership with engineering leaders across mobile, front end, backend, platform, SRE, security, privacy, data engineering, QA, and IT & DevOps

  • Ensure products and systems are trusted and meet all industry standards for compliance, trust and safety

  • Drive continuous improvement in software development, resilience, and operational activities

  • Balance rapid product innovation and architecture to minimize technical and product debt

  • Perform competitive analysis to ensure the company has the freedom to practice its core technologies without infringing on existing patents

  • Collaborate and lead technical due diligence for potential M&A deals

  • Be a thought leader, contributing technical updates and product information for both internal and external audiences

• Machine Learning & Generative AI Expertise

  • Drive the integration of Machine Learning and Generative AI into product development initiatives.

  • Utilize Machine Learning and Generative AI to create unique value propositions and differentiators for the company's products or services.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in Machine Learning and Generative AI to keep the company at the cutting edge of technology.

• Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Engage with key partners, including Google and Meta to ensure product alignment and collaborative innovation.

• Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage the budget for product development initiatives

  • Conduct ROI analysis and strategic resource allocation to prioritize high-impact projects and initiatives.

  • Implement a budgeting approach that balances innovation, growth, and operational efficiency.

• Team Leadership & Development

  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for innovation, product development effectiveness, and market impact.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong background in SaaS platforms and Machine Learning/Generative AI is essential.

  • Proven ability to integrate Machine Learning and Generative AI into scalable, impactful products.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on innovation and execution.
