You as an Electrician you will be:

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering & Building Services and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, the principal duties of an Electrician are to

• Trouble shoot, repair, replace and install any component of the hospital's low voltage (up to 600 volt) electrical systems including but not limited to
• wiring, cabling, conduit, transformers, circuit breakers, electrical disconnects,
• Installs electrical circuits and all types of electrical equipment and appliances including grounding leads, lighting fixtures, life safety systems, and other circuits as needed
• light fixtures, VFDs, motors, sensors, control panels, different elements of the emergency power system,
• components of the Fire alarm systems, Access control system,
• CCTV, etc. throughout the hospital,
• outdoor and indoor including patient rooms and treatment areas.
• Perform an effective preventive maintenance and maintain all aforementioned equipment in good working and esthetic condition.

Is this the right role for you?

• Valid Ontario Electrician Certificate or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years of maintenance electrician experience
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to work at heights, using step ladder, scissor lift, telescopic boom, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 20Kg
• Ability to read and interpreter schematics, electrical drawing, instruction and O&M manual
• Knowledge and ability to work with electrical tools and measuring devices safely
