Job Purpose:

Manage FM services in a tactical and operational level, including Engineering & Operations, Workplace Services, Asset Management, and Occupancy Optimization, in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies. Direct team and service providers in executing the FM tactical and operational goals.


This individual will be responsible for supervising vendors that will focus on responding to urgent requests and ensuring our facilities are fully operational with a 100 percent “uptime” efficiency rating. This position will be associated with a high-paced work environment along with a detailed preventative maintenance program. This role will develop and deliver all objectives and policies as they relate to the facilities maintenance environment. Develop plans and programs as requested to meet present and anticipated needs of the facility. Monitor and inspect all associated systems and equipment to ensure that they are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. Oversee, recommend, and implement system requirements to safeguard the organizational equipment and associated support systems.

Your tasks:

  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of all associated facilities
  • Monitor and inspect all equipment to ensure that facility systems are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed
  • Evaluate completed work and check for conformance to specifications
  • Improves efficiency of all facilities operations related systems
  • Initiate internal audit program as it relates to, the preventive maintenance program and document as required
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developmental growth of a supporting team. Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience working with Canadian regulations.
  • 3-5 years of relevant FM / PM experience
  • B.A. preferred or equivalent technical certifications and experience
  • Extensive safety and environmental knowledge in an industrial / automated environment
  • Prior experience with inventory control, and purchasing is a plus
  • Experience with operating and managing a Building Management System (BMS)
  • Experience with, and understands, Most Effective Technology (MET)
  • General understanding of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • A working proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Prior hands-on experience working with:
    • Fabrication tooling and instrumentation
    • Airport Ramp Operational Movement
    • High Voltage (up to 600V)
    • Preventative Maintenance Programs
    • Snow removal processes (to include at airports)
    • Waste and recycling programs and protocols
    • Painting applications (walls, floors, stripping, etc.)
    • Data entry / typing skills / file-document management
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills in both English and French
