The Superintendent plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates quality of homes from point of purchase to one month post inspection. This position involves executing the full construction process, ensuring requirements and inspections are met as it relates to design specs, scheduling, building codes and managing construction workers, labourers, and trades within budget. This role is located at our Wyndfield Site, ON.


What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of construction-related experience, preferably in Low Rise residential construction
  • 2+ years of experience in an Assistant Superintendent or similar role
  • In depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (section 9); Ontario Health& Safety Regulations and Tarion
  • Valid Ontario G license
  • Working knowledge of BuildPro MS Office & Newstar

What You'll Be Doing Each Day

  • Assists Construction Managers with developing the full construction schedule, hard and soft budget costs for assigned phases
  • Maintains and executes construction schedule to ensure full completion of the house prior to the closing date 100% of the time and on budget and completing all PDI deficiencies within the one (1) month per Tarion requirements
  • Obtains appropriate licenses / permits, sets-up temporary power and trailer/compound, sightings extras (O&E) are in place, Drawings (HVAC etc.) are documented and necessary equipment are ordered per schedule
  • Manages the building inspection outcomes and resolutions as directed throughout the construction sequences to completion
  • Hires develops and manages a construction team including Unionized Labourers
  • Direct and monitor Trades achieving 100% completion within quality standards per Statements of Work
