RVA is seeking a motivated Engineering Student to join our dynamic Transportation Lighting and Signals Team in our Toronto/Halton/Waterloo office. We offer flexible Co-op opportunities ranging from 4,8,12 and 16 months, starting in Winter/Spring/Fall 2025. Duties:

  • Periodic field visits to review existing conditions, assess conflicts, and provide support during construction.
  • Design of roadway lighting, duct bank layout, and traffic signal infrastructure projects.
  • Help prepare AutoCAD and MicroStation design drawings.
  • Provides office support during the construction stage of projects.
  • Assist with quantity calculations and preparing tender documents.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Assist in roadway lighting loading calculations.
  • Assist project team in preparing memorandum/report

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in third year in an electrical engineering program at an accredited university. Consideration will be provided to those enrolled in a civil engineering program.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation is an asset.
  • Must have a valid G Class Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
