CH Site: Glen Eden *Must be willing/able to work at any CH designated area.

Your Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Complete grounds maintenance at CH parks including snow removal, salting, sanding, etc.
  • Operate plow truck and other snow removal equipment.
  • Complete a variety of maintenance tasks throughout the day which could include travelling between any CH properties.
  • Ability to support other departments within CH as needed.
  • Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Previous Equipment Operator experience is an asset.
  • Able to work at any CH designated area and travel to a site not serviced by public transportation.
  • Available a minimum of 4 days per week, and working flexible hours - variable shifts including overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience using software programs like SharePoint.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class "G", with a satisfactory Driver's Abstract is required. *Abstract completed by Conservation Halton.
  • Successful candidates must provide own CSA approved safety footwear prior to first day of employment *Partial reimbursement provided in accordance with the Safety Workwear policy.
