Your Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintain safe and orderly loading and unloading of the chair & surface lifts
  • Ensure all guests have a valid and visible lift ticket
  • Maintain loading and unloading ramps, signage, and corals to approved standards
  • Physical duties include shoveling snow and lifting heavy objects
  • Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and passenger ropeways regulations
  • Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

  • Professional, energetic, dependable, and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service and safety
  • Ability to handle difficult situations while remaining calm under pressure
  • Previous customer service, lift operations, and skiing and/or snowboarding experience is an asset
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule is an asset (evenings, weekends and holidays) with a minimum of 3 shifts per week for part time
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Successful candidates must complete Bullwheel Training (provided by CH) prior to first day of employment
  • Successful candidates must provide their own black snow pants (no patterns), winter gloves/mitts, and winter boots *Uniform jacket and hat will be provided for the season*
