Your Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and passenger ropeways regulations
  • Complete daily lift/shift logs, training logs, incident, and safety reports promptly and accurately
  • Assist with staff rotations and administering breaks/lunches
  • Support with staff training and ongoing development
  • Maintain loading and unloading ramps, signage and corrals to approved standards
  • Actively participate in snow maintenance and general area maintenance, ensuring it is complete for all components of the lifts and surrounding areas (clear of snow, ice, garbage, etc.)
  • Ensure all guests have a valid and visible lift ticket
  • Assist with making changes to the schedule when required
  • Physical duties include shoveling snow and lifting heavy objects
  • Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

  • Professional, energetic, dependable and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work in and adapt to the daily challenges associated with a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service and safety
  • Ability to handle difficult situations while remaining calm under pressure
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
  • Previous customer service, lift operations, and skiing and/or snowboarding experience is an asset
  • Previous experience with and working knowledge of lift operation standards, safety policies, and emergency procedures is an asset
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule is an asset (evenings, weekends and holidays)
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Successful candidates must complete Bullwheel Training and Lift Evacuation Training (provided by CH) prior to first day of employment
