Overview:
The Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance services and inspects,  diagnoses and repairs manufacturing equipment and facility. 
The Mechanic will focus and ensure that:
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
• Observes/listens and communicates with the machine operator to diagnose and 
troubleshoot machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
• Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove 
defective parts.
• Replaces defective parts with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various 
kinds of metal stock if possible and safe.
• Follow all equipment service policies and procedures to ensure safety, reliability, 
and accuracy.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Maintain a daily update of the PM log and any other documentation required by 
the company’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain and be accountable for all company-owned tools and equipment 
including returning to proper storage location when done.
• Teach operators how to recognize problems before they result in an equipment 
malfunction.
• Be a critical element on the production line and machinery sets up every day.
• Maintain updated daily communication log with other mechanics and 
management.

• Particularly critical to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP), once trained on 
GDP.
• Follow all safety protocols to work on equipment (Lock out), as well as cleaning.
Responsibilities:
• Support the operators with proper adjustments to the machine(s) settings to 
sustain the desired speed and quality of product.
• Provide troubleshooting for equipment issues, to resolve problems. Be conscious 
to request support from other maintenance tech, a manager, or an external entity 
(like OEM or shop) when applicable.
• Report daily, by writing, any part used and maintain updated the inventory of spare 
parts.
• Wear all the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to safety standards while enforcing safe work habits with all team 
members.
• Any other task or activity required to maintain operations, safety and housekeeping 
as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
Daily Activities:
• Ideally starts 30 minutes prior to shift and stay after the shift if another mechanic is not available 
to ensure proper shutdown of all equipment.
• Maintain all equipment functioning properly.
• Execute the correspondent PM
• Maintain Maintenance Log updated daily
• Report to the management any concern related to safety, equipment or housekeepin

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Monday to Friday
