Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and supplies within our production process. You will be responsible for coordinating purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing logistics to meet the company's high standards for quality and on-time delivery. This is a critical role that supports our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Creation and tracking of purchase orders to completion.

  • Coordinate inbound freight by truck, rail, ocean container, and ocean bulk.

  • Compile manifests and ensure data accuracy across systems.

  • Verify shipped quantities and update logistics statuses as needed on inbound materials

  • Manage product flow between branches, ensuring timely processing and follow-ups.

  • Obtain and verify necessary documents from vendors for customs clearance (CBSA), and port terminal release.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incorrect master data, working closely with vendors, analysts, freight providers and customs brokers.

  • Coordinate inspection requests with warehousing centers and manage insurance claims on inbound ocean freight.

  • Act as a liaison between vendors, transport teams, analysts, customs brokers, and port terminals to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

  • Meeting Value Stream KPIs (On-Time In Full, Supplier Rating, Quality).

  • Ensuring materials and supplies flow seamlessly into the process according to priority and storage requirements.

  • Coordinating and tracking supplier quality claims and concerns.

  • Maintaining high supplier ratings in accordance with standards.

  • Quick and efficient problem-solving using the A3 thinking model.

  • Ensuring compliance with ISO and accounting standards in the receiving and tagging of materials.

    Quality Knowledge Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas).

  • Experience in lean concepts and supplier development is an asset.

  • Technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, machine shops, and welding fabrication is an asset.

  • Knowledge of JFE Shoji Power Canada Quality/Purchasing systems and products is preferred.

    Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
