P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, and semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chapati. Internship Overview
As a Customer Service Representative Intern at P&H Milling, you'll get hands-on experience in customer service within our flour milling operations. The intern will work closely with our Customer Service team to assist customers, process orders, and resolve inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Location: Cambridge, ON (1060 Fountain St N, Cambridge, ON N3E 0A1) Term: April 28, 2025 - August 29, 2025 Compensation: This internship is a paid position.
Your Day to Day
Learn to handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
Assist in processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring on-time delivery.
Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers.
Learn to resolve customer issues and complaints, escalating complex cases to senior team members when necessary.
Assist in maintaining customer records and updating information in the customer database.
Support Customer Service team in various administrative tasks and projects.
What You'll Learn
Learn about industry-specific customer service practices and procedures within the flour milling industry. They will understand the importance of meeting customer service standards and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Gain experience in maintaining a professional demeanor and representing the company positively in all customer interactions. Interns will learn how to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
Develop interpersonal skills and learn to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Receive mentorship from industry experts and professionals in the field.
What We're Looking For:
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Business Administration, Customer Service, Marketing, or a related field.
Excellent typing skills
Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Full-time availability for a 4-month term (April 28, 2025 - August 29, 2025)
