Job Summary
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, this position will involve receiving, inspecting and shipping goods, as well as maintaining inventory and records. They will be required to work inside and outside based on job demands. You should be comfortable working both, inside and outside the facility.
Pay: $21.00/hr.
Main Duties
  • Receive goods: Unload goods from trucks, verify quantity and quality, and inspect for damage
  • Prepare shipments: Pack goods, create shipping documents, and arrange for shipment

  • Store goods: Unpack, code, and store goods in the appropriate area

  • Maintain inventory: Record incoming and outgoing goods, and ensure inventory is accurate

  • Resolve issues: Identify and resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues to the appropriate person

  • Follow safety rules: Follow company safety rules and procedures, and be aware of WHMIS and SDSs

Education/Skills Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Operate vehicles like tractors, trailers, forklifts, HINO, or other machinery designed to aid in the transport of heavy materials

  • Telehandler certification to operate on a truck/tractor

  • Forklift certification

  • Experience in warehouse work

Working Conditions:
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Handling heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)
  • Operating large machinery in a safe manner
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Working indoor/outdoor year-round in all temperatures
