Electrical Service Attendant

What will you be doing!

• Inspecting and servicing electrical equipment (e.g., light bulb replacement, greasing electric motors by oiling, greasing, and associated tasks involved with preventive maintenance). Disposing of used materials in compliance with CNL requirements.
• Assisting tradespersons when required.
• Completing all pertinent paperwork, such as Avantis job cards, to document maintenance activities ensures that an accurate maintenance history is available for review and/or audit purposes.
• Maintaining tools and equipment provided to electricians to ensure they are in good working order and returned to their respective tool cribs or storage areas on time.
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices in all work areas, including tools and equipment, and adhering to provincial, federal, and CNL regulations to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
• Attending monthly safety meetings and immediately report any safety concerns and/or infractions.
• Applying Event Free Tools and Pre-Job Brief information throughout the execution of assigned work.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.
  

What we are looking for:

• Education
  • Secondary school graduation diploma.
• Experience
  • One (1) year of related electrical experience.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and associated systems to efficiently address service and maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings specifically to have a thorough understanding of the scope of the job in question.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to work in multi-trade groups and communicate with CNL staff across various disciplines.
• Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Working Conditions:

• Variable temperatures from cold to extreme heat, exposure to confined spaces and heights and exposure to radiation.
• Will need to wear PPE when needed.
• Normal hours of work will be ten (10) hour days, four (4) days a week for a 40 hour work week.
