Position Description:


Cam Tran Co Ltd is looking for candidates who have a strong commitment to working safely and efficiently. We are looking for those who have the demonstrated ability to repair equipment to ensure overall effectiveness in an accelerating environment! Reporting to the OEE Leader, the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs to manufacturing equipment within our facility. Our ideal candidate has both electrical and mechanical aptitude and should have strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Interpret and produce electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings and other related technical documents and graphics for a variety of stakeholders in compliance with industry standards
  • Select and use a variety of troubleshooting techniques and equipment to assess, maintain and repair electromechanical circuits, equipment, process systems and subsystems
  • Maintain and repair, electrical, electronic, and mechanical components, equipment and systems to ensure that they function according to specifications and to optimize production
  • Support the design and production of mechanical components by assisting in the specification of manufacturing materials and processes
  • Apply, analyze, build, install, commission, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic control systems, logic and digital circuits, passive AC and DC circuits and active circuits
  • Install and troubleshoot basic computer hardware and programming to support the electromechanical engineering department
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment including fanuc robot welding systems
  • Establish and maintain inventory, records, and documentation systems to meet organizational and industry standards and requirements
  • Select and purchase electromechanical equipment, components, and systems that fulfill job requirements and functional specifications
  • Assist in applying quality control and assurance program procedures to meet organizational standards and requirements
  • Work in compliance with relevant industry standards, laws and regulations, codes policies and procedures
  • Develop strategies for ongoing personal and professional development to enhance work performance and to remain in the field and responsive to emergent technologies and national and international standards
  • Contribute as an individual member of an Industrial engineering team to the effective completion of tasks and projects
  • Support project management activities such as planning, implementation and evaluation of projects , monitoring resources, timelines and expenditures
  • Coordinates spare parts purchasing with suppliers and maintains/controls records of the spare part inventory


Qualifications:


  • Millwright or Electrician Red Seal preferred
  • Minimum two years' experience repairing equipment in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Technical training and/or college diploma in Electro - Mechanical Technician Program
  • Computer Skills MS office suite, CMMS, AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • Knowledge of transformer manufacturing is considered an asset.

  • Must be well organized, self -motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively to others.
  • Must have excellent analytical and decision making abilities.
  • Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (winding machines) to better understand the manufacturing process.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude will have a have strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics


Shift Schedule:


  • Monday to Thursday from 6:00AM-4:30PM, however all shifts may vary dependent on business needs
  • This position may require extended daily hours and overtime hours as required to ensure customer needs are always met.
  • Overtime is based on business needs, employees are often required to work overtime on Friday's to complete weekly targets based on business demand.
  • This position may require the person to be on call.
