Position Summary

The Fabrication Welding Team Leader oversees the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring production targets are met and continuous improvement initiatives are executed. This role requires strong leadership to coach and guide the team, monitor performance, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in achieving weekly production targets through effective planning and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct daily huddles and support the Cell Leader in managing team activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement actions in alignment with company goals and track progress using tools like JIVE and visual management boards.
  • Perform regular audits of Leader Standard Work (LSW) to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Resolve quality and customer-related emergencies promptly.
  • Coordinate job rotations and cross-functional training to enhance team skills and versatility.
  • Manage scheduling, performance, absenteeism, and other workplace concerns for direct reports.
  • Communicate company updates, objectives, and improvement initiatives to the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong communication skills to set clear expectations and drive results.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Results-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes and continuous improvement methodologies.

Working Conditions

  • Indoor manufacturing environment with a fast-paced workflow.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet production demands.
