The Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Specialist is responsible for coordinating assets for calibration and preventative maintenance with various departments and tool owners. The incumbent will own and drive the calibration and preventative maintenance programs at SCIEX while supporting accurate tracking of metrics for lab management processes.

This position reports to the R&D Laboratory Manager located in Concord, Ontario, Canada and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support tool owners to reconcile OOT (out-of-tolerance) conditions for critical tools.

  • Support the supplier review and approval process as required within the SCIEX Quality Management System.

  • Review and ensure accuracy of calibration documentation generated during required internal and external schedules.

  • Enable any mass spectrometer instrument moves and installations as required (ex: via request fulfilment, asset tracking, decommissioning, storage, etc.)

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

  • Perform scheduled oil changes for roughing pump and coordinate the schedule with instrument users

  • Assist with instrument moves and installations as required

  • Communicate with internal customers about the status of their tools

  • Knowledge of good documentation practices

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
