The Senior Electrical Engineering Technologist is responsible assisting Electrical Designers/Engineers in the development and qualification of research and/or engineering-grade electrical hardware. In this role you will advance your hardware development skills as part of an industry leading research and development team.
This position is part of the Electrical Hardware Development team and will be located in Concord, Ontario.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop engineering grade test fixtures under supervision of Electrical Designers and Execute qualification testing for new electrical hardware.
Perform electrical hardware failure analysis, debugging, rework and repair as part of active projects and sustaining activities.
Upkeep of frequently used laboratory stock for research-grade & engineering-grade development work
The essential requirements of the job include:
Electrical Engineering Technologist's diploma or higher, or its equivalent.
Eight or more years of practical electrical experience along with PCBA rework is an important asset.
Demonstrated experience in testing/troubleshooting of electronic subsystems for high-complexity mixed-signal (analog low-power, analog high-power, digital high-speed) applications.
Experience using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Function Generators on custom built electronics test setups.
It would be a plus if you also possess:
Eligibility or Membership within an organization of certified engineering technologists (e.g. OACETT).
Experience with schematic entry, PCB layout and mechanical CAD software.
