Purpose of the Role

The Oracle Procurement Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the stabilization, as well as on going administration, of the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP for Procurement and Sourcing. This position is required to provide technical support, instance administration, release management analysis, incident management and routine upgrade support.

The position will also support the National Supply Chain Management team and cross functional business partners in optimizing the use of the cloud system which can include report creation, report management, Master Data Maintenance, end user training and system functionality consultation.

Your responsibilities will include:

System Administration

  • Provide Technical and Functional support for Procurement & Sourcing Teams, (Procurement Team) and the broader business on Oracle Cloud ERP, inclusive of activities such as performing data loads/exports, data validation, month end close process responsibilities etc
  • Investigate and troubleshoot Oracle cloud issues as reported by Procurement Team and propose corrective actions. Log and monitor SR's (Service Request) with Oracle if required
  • Troubleshoot Oracle Cloud workflows issues related to the Procurement Team and propose corrective actions as appropriate
  • Understand the various integrations between the Oracle System (ERP, Procurement) to other systems and areas within Oracle, (such as finance, materials management, EDI, etc.), and provide troubleshooting support
  • Provide Technical and Functional support for any other systems or integrations as defined by the Manager


System Governance

  • Support purchase order process to ensure accurate accounting
  • Maintain master data in mapping cost centers for subledger accounting
  • Maintain mass data uploads for Procurement, Contracts, Sourcing and any other modules as defined by the Manager
  • Partner with Materials Management/Procurement team on Item Setup and Maintenance
  • Perform Month/Year End close activities on a regular basis


System Optimization

  • Stay current on the latest Oracle Cloud technology and provide analysis and insight on the optimization of tool adoption and utilization
  • Perform an Impact Analysis on New Oracle Functionality, outlining the requirements/changes to the business
  • Test Oracle cloud new functionalities, data fixes and maintenance packs as released by Oracle and help with cross functional testing, planning and impact evaluation
  • Create and maintain Oracle system reports in collaboration with IT and Business users
  • Support Oracle Procurement customized reports and look to enhance with additional functionality
  • Maintain and report on KPIs to further drive system and operational effectiveness
  • Provide support for any other systems as defined by the Manager
  • Participation in various projects and initiatives as related to the Oracle Cloud systems

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field of study
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience within the SCM field, with exposure to an ERP system and understanding on configurations and impacts
  • Oracle Cloud SCM certificate would be an asset
  • Relevant experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP application suites will be prioritized
  • Oracle Cloud Implementation experience an asset
  • Exposure to SCM & Procurement integration with Financials
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain/Materials processes, data requirements, analytical needs, and best practices a bonus
  • Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Operational and delivery experience in partnership with IT
