MOBIA is currently recruiting a Telecom Production Tech to join our team in the GTA, Ontario. This role involves assembling, installing, and mounting telecommunication equipment (such as 4G/5G radios, Microwaves, and Small Cell units) according to work orders, including unpacking and verifying materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and installing telecommunication equipment according to work order (4G/LTE/5G radios, Microwave, Small Cell, Pico Cell, etc.)
  • Receiving materials, unpacking & verification of work orders & spec's
  • Identifying missing materials and reporting to management
  • Installation, mounting and placement of telecommunication equipment in relay racks and h-frames (crimping, soldering, bix wiring, continuity testing, and use of basic telecom diagnostic tools)
  • Cutting different types of cables to length and creating cable assemblies
  • Reading & interpreting equipment installation manuals and drawings
  • Other duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous Warehouse Experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment to meet customer deadlines
  • Lifting and moving equipment up to 80 lbs. (work classification: heavy work)
  • This is a warehouse production-based position, but the ability to occasionally travel or work in the field is an asset
  • Bilingual is an asset but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically
