The Receiving Inspector is conducting A1/A2/T1 and T2 Inspections on materials, parts, assemblies kits etc received in the warehouse. The individual is responsible for documenting product deviations through NCs and isolating material from the standard flow for disposition; performing incoming quality inspection ( A1/A2/T1/T2) of outsourced processed parts to ensure processing and C of C meets internal requirements & specifications and; ensuring inventory integrity by reviewing, preparing and completing documents in accordance with AS9100, TCCA, EASA, and Airbus requirements and reviewing, approving and conducting FAIs as needed on received items from Suppliers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Inspection - Processed Parts:

  • Perform incoming inspection of all parts, consumables, Kits, assemblies etc received from suppliers to A1/A2/T1/T2 requirements to drawing and specification requirements.

  • Perform incoming inspection of chemical processed parts returning from vendors.

  • Conduct initial visual quality check on product , packaging and documentation to ensure conformance to Purchase Order requirements along with drawing and specification requirements and to detect any FOD and Counterfeit products at receiving Inspection.

  • Support all containment activities in the warehouse on POA and MOA including on customer returns/RMAs in the warehouse.

  • Log into customer portals to acquire necessary documentation to support deliveries.

  • Train other team members as needed on the QN/ NC initiation process in the warehouse.

  • Meet weekly KPI objectives on receiving Inspections in the Warehouse.

  • Receive composite material including Pre-pregs and other temperature sensitive material in accordance with AHCA process.

  • Conduct all activities with the utmost attention to Health And Safety Policies and Speak up on all matters pertaining to Health & Safety and Aviation safety through timely Hazard reports.

  • Support the second warehouse when needed on a temporary basis.

  • Conduct necessary inspections to Timex and eSled requirements and re-preservation inspections on items stored in the warehouse.

  • Participate in Performance reviews and conduct oneself to the Airbus E&C policies and Code of Conduct.

NC and CAR Management:

  • Initiate NCs and manage non conforming products through COM-17 i.e. NCMs for disposition.

  • Ensure all actions in NCs are managed and closed within due dates and deadlines.

  • Support investigations on Supplier Non conformances through Containment, Root cause and Corrective Actions and Escapes through the warehouse to customers.

  • Support Quality Audits in the warehouse.

  • Act as focal point for maintaining Controlled Goods and ITAR log in accordance with AHCA process. Monitor and maintain items kept within the secured cages.

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining Quarantine cages with clear segregation between POA and MOA and ensuring timely movement of parts in and out of the Warehouse cages.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in ImpACT and improve projects in the Warehouse to improve Quality, Right First Time and 5S.

  • Participate in cross training and self training to continuously maintain and increase competency amongst Quality teams.

  • Attend Daily and weekly SQCDP reviews to support applicable Internal Customers and work collaboratively to ensure the success of our internal customers. I.e. DCR, Mfg, Completions, etc.

  • Work closely with buyers and Supplier Quality teams to assist on Supplier Quality and Compliance topics.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Operations - Materials/Inventory Management or related discipline considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Effective communication (written and oral) and organizational skills

  • Ability to work and think independently and under general supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines - sense of urgency and customer satisfaction

  • Ability to lift and bend repetitively

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, paperwork and all other aspects of the position

  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and AS9100 environment

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal customers and suppliers and be a catalyst for success on the Site Metrics and Departmental goals.

  • Must be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying
