Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This is a 35-week contract position working a continental shift rotation (days, nights and weekend). Starting rate: $43.85. $45.56 after 4 months + additional shift premiums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical services to maintain safe and efficient operations to Brewery equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Brewery equipment in fast paced environment to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
  • Install new equipment, if required
  • Maintain all records / documentation and ensure completion of paperwork
  • Diagnose and correct mechanical problems with Brewery equipment
  • Rotational shift, including continental pattern and weekends, as assigned
  • Perform mechanical services to maintain safe and efficient operations to Brewery equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Brewery equipment in fast paced environment to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
  • Install new equipment, if required
  • Maintain all records / documentation and ensure completion of paperwork
  • Diagnose and correct mechanical problems with Brewery equipment

Requirements:

  • Must possess Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) License with Certificate of Apprenticeship
  • Refrigeration B ticket an asset
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting and repairing high speed packaging equipment as a Licensed Millwright
  • In depth understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic functions
  • Experienced in safe work practices: confined space entry, lockout / tagout, and hotwork
  • Practical experience in basic welding, plumbing and machining
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated and possess good interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment
  • Basic keyboarding skill and familiar with MS Office package
  • Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report non-conformities
  • Experience in brewing, liquid filling, beverage or canning industry an asset
