As an Intern Bachelors Satellite Systems here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design and development of satellite systems. You will work closely with our team of engineers to support the development and testing of satellite components and subsystems. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to the aerospace industry and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge satellite technology. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain practical experience in the field of aerospace engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Systems engineering activities • Conduct analysis and testing of satellite systems • Involvement with attitude and orbit control, guidance, and navigation control systems • Assist in the design and development of satellite components and subsystems • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of satellite components • Support the documentation and reporting of test results
YOU MUST HAVE • Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or other relevant technical discipline no later than 2027 • Experience with MATLAB, C++, and Microsoft Office • Orbital mechanics knowledge (e.g. AERO 3240 – Orbital Mechanics course at Carleton) • Strong interest in satellite systems and space technology • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and concepts WE VALUE
• Familiarity with satellite design and analysis tools and techniques • Attitude dynamics and control knowledge (e.g. AERO 4540 Spacecraft Attitude Dynamics and Control course at Carleton) • Experience with Python, C, Linux, and Simulink • Systems / control systems engineering knowledge • Embedded systems, electronics, electrical, mechanical, thermal, communications, and software protocol knowledge • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
