Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for program cost, schedule and technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.

As a Lead Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of innovative cabin products for our customers. You will be responsible for leading projects related to cabin connectivity, with a specific focus on Jetwave technology. Jetwave is a cutting-edge solution that enables high-speed internet connectivity on board aircraft, enhancing the passenger experience and enabling new services and applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of cabin products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, develop project plans, and ensure successful execution.
  • Manage metrics for: SPI/CPI/EV, program milestones and resources.
  • Executive communication, ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Use strategic thinking to help anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers.
  • Lead and maintain an optimized program management operating system for specific business segment programs.
  • Bring the best global thinking to your own organization and region to understand technology and management concepts required for Honeywell products and processes.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 8+ Years of Experience in Engineering
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Project Engineering or Project Management.

WE VALUE

  • Strong knowledge of SATCOM Products and related technologies
  • Working knowledge of overall engineering disciplines (hardware, software, systems and integration)
  • Working knowledge/Experience in managing FAA/TCCA TSOs, STC’s
  • Working knowledge/Familiarity with standards DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 is a plus
  • Working knowledge/Familiarity with network certification of SATCOM products.
  • Familiarity with cAgile Program management and expertise with all Agile practices
  • Strong management operating system that facilitates communication with cross-functional teams, customers and/or suppliers
  • Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
  • Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development.
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives.
  • Persuade to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
