Position Summary

Assist with construction inspections - keep daily work records of construction occurring on site in order to control quantities of materials being placed i.e. sidewalk, pavement, manholes and pipes

Check grades of pipes, roads and sidewalk elevations

Assist in the collection and analysis of construction and surveying data

Assist with research and the preparation of reports

Responsible for data entry duties as required

Other duties as assigned

Hours of operation are 7:00am - 6:00pm

Qualifications, Competencies

MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL-TIME POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2025 - Verification will be required

Must be enrolled in college or university in the field of Civil Engineering

Must have a valid Class 'G' Driver's License with a satisfactory driver's abstract; and must provide own transportation

AutoCAD experience is considered an asset

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel

Trimble survey software or Trimble Access experience considered an asset

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential information

Ability to follow instructions and perform assigned duties with limited direct supervision

Excellent interpersonal skills

Must provide and wear green patch safety shoes during shifts

Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions when required

Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check at candidate's own expense
