The Details:

• Permanent, Full-Time positions available for licensed Red Seal Electrician
• Location: 350 Bell Blvd, Belleville, Ontario
• Shift starts at 6am
• We are a Pork processing facility

The Tasks:

• Adhere to rules, procedures, safe work practices, health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment.
• Report and investigate all near misses/incidents/accidents resulting in personal injury or property damage.
• Comply with Food Safety & Quality policies and procedures.
• Ensure forms and checklists are properly, completely, accurately, and legibly filled.
• Proper handling of lifting and transport equipment, adhering to safety conditions.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and machinery utilizing Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrumentation skill sets.
• Recalibrating controls, and maintenance of additional systems and components as appropriate.
• Maintain the work area and physical environment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition (5S).
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric components such as motors, VFDs, etc.
• Performance tasks such as running wire, making connections and labelling.
• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural and electronic troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs.
• Perform a general post repair audit prior to completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies.
• Prioritize and complete preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on various instrumentation, controls (DCS), electrical and electronic equipment and PLC systems
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. Operate machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
• Immediately report non-conformances to QC and Maintenance Manager
• Able to communicate between different departments.
• Support Maintenance Technicians in daily mechanical duties.
• Flexibility is required due to business needs; advanced notice will be given.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an industrial or commercial electrician, with experience in food manufacturing or other industrial environments preferred.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment, repetitive tasks, and ability to stand for extended hours
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be able to communicate and understand English
