Solid Waste Student (Summer Student 2025)
Position Summary
Provide public education surrounding waste management and implementation of automated cart collection
Assist with general labourer duties
Assist with operations and wind down of recycling operations
Attend information sessions, community events, or other educational opportunities as they arise
Other duties as assigned
Shift hours of operation are between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, (Monday to Friday)
Must be available to start full-time work as of May 5, 2025, varied shifts are possible
Qualifications, Competencies
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL-TIME SECONDARY OR POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2025 - Verification will be required
A valid Class 'G' driver's licence is required

Proven customer service skills
Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions
Must be able to follow instructions and complete daily work assignments
Must provide and wear CSA approved protective footwear
Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check at candidate's own expense
