The Ministry of the Attorney General is seeking a candidate with a background in finance and accommodation administration to provide finance, budgeting, administrative and client services support services.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• assist with the preparation of annual and monthly budget estimates
• provide administrative support such as answering correspondence, processing, checking and preparing reports
• coordinate the collection, recording and entering of hours for employees
• assist the Manager with various accommodation projects
• assist and review options to maximize space and identify tasks to be done by accessing current floor plans

How do I qualify?

Finance and Accommodation Administration Knowledge:

You have knowledge of:
• government financial administration, procurement and accounting policies and guidelines
• arithmetic to calculate and process documents relating to accounts payable/receivables and budget
• human resources policies/practices such as salary and benefits administrations
• procedures on building/maintenance of government owned and leased buildings

Communication Skills:

• You have excellent oral and written communication skills
• You can respond to inquiries by providing information and direction on court office practices and procedures

Organizational, Analytical and Good Judgment Skills:

• You can identify, analyze, investigate and resolve inaccuracies in financial statements
• You have excellent organizational skills and judgement
• You can provide recommendations on project plans related to various initiatives i.e. renovation of existing court facility

Computer Skills:

• You can use software applications such as Word, Access, Outlook, Excel and the Internet
• You have experience with financial spreadsheets, database and software packages
• You can prepare letters, budgets, financial and statistical reports
