Job Summary
Oil Extraction Associate is responsible for ensuring daily production tasks of the oil extraction processes are completed efficiently, safely and securely. The job tasks of an Oil Extraction Production Associate include but are not limited to extraction, refinement and blending processes. Weighing and labeling cannabis flower, oil and extracts. Completion of all tasks is to be executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters as specified by the quality department.
Shift: 4 days 10 hours
Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5:00PM OR Tuesday-Friday 6:30AM-5:00PM
Pay: $20.50/hr.
Role and Responsibilities
Able to work well both independently and as a team.
Flexibility in tasks day to day.
Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees within the department.
Ensure security of the department and facility during designated shift hours.
Enforce all safety and processing procedures while maintaining a clean and safe workplace in accordance with all production and quality SOP’s.
Enable effective communication between management and other employees.
Report all incidents (inventory discrepancies, accidents, equipment failures, NCR’s, QIR’s etc.) to supervision immediately upon discovery.
Produce and prepare cannabis oil products as necessary to meet daily production demands including:
Extraction (Co2, Butane, Ethanol, Dry Sift)
Dilution and Filtering
Hash
Blends
Decarboxylation
Inventory
Refinement
Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Completion of secondary school program required, post secondary preferred.
Production experience in a food or health product related industry, preferred.
Demonstrated experience in a production-oriented position.
In depth understanding of established values and strategy of Tilray Brands.
Ability to rationally analyze a situation, act on an idea or make sensible decisions that are in line with the company mission and direction from supervision.
Effective oral and written communication skills; Good mathematical and computation skills.
Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule.
Comfort in job tasks variety from day to day.
Knowledge of quality control procedures set forth by the Company.
Experience operating under SOP guidelines.
Operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes (i.e. scales, extraction machines etc.)
Good understanding of computers and Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel. ERP and QMS knowledge is preferred.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
Must be able to wear/use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time (i.e. gloves, lab coat, hair net, respirator)
Must be able to work in an enclosed and secure work area
