Greatario's Construction Manager is responsible for leading several cross functional teams to deliver projects spanning across one or more business units. This role oversees planning, as well as managing and tracking the progress of all construction projects. The successful incumbent must manage resources, schedules, and financials as well as adhere to all standards through the project life cycle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee & direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Oversee & direct all Construction Foreman and Construction personnel
  • Review project scope in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all on-site and off-site construction to monitor compliance with all appropriate regulations.
  • Develop, consistently update and communicate construction schedule
  • Plan construction projects & oversees their progress along the way in a time and cost-effective manner.
  • Responsible for budgeting, organizing, implementing and scheduling projects.
  • Remain current on the status of all active jobs
  • Drive projects to completion and pass-over to After-Market Services
  • Work with Human Resources to coordinate & ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Assists with the selection of subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment for projects
  • Meets contractual conditions of performance on projects
  • Participates in company wide safety initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of safety directives
  • Reviews project work progress daily
  • Reviews and approves daily timesheets, and weekly expenses.
  • Prepares internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Supports Project Management and Sales to negotiate contracts and changes
  • Plans to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper techniques
  • Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the project cycle


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 Years proven work experience in Construction Management
  • Post-Secondary Education in Construction Management considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management process, means and methods
  • Knowledge of products, building techniques, relevant regulations, quality standards and safety legislation.
  • Understanding of all facets of construction process
  • Ability to plan and see the big picture
  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams
  • Proven experience leading teams in remote setting
  • Competency in conflict management/resolution
  • Strong Leadership and Human Resources Skills
  • Excellent time management ad project management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Generally, work more than the standard 40-hour work week, depending on job schedule, location and any delays that may arise.
  • Position is on-call 24/7 to deal with problems and emergencies (Company builds in different time zones and has supplies across the globe).
  • Work environment is both office and, in the field /construction job site.
  • Required to wear all safety equipment when in the field
