EXP provides flexibility for employees to work in any of our offices in GTA with the option to work remotely on the other days.

What your experience looks like

• Expertise in preparation of plan, profile, Sections, grading, corridor, surface design, pipe network and pressure network modeling for water, storm, and wastewater piping, and roadways design from concept to construction.
• Prepare Pond design drawings according to SWM design criteria.
• Good Understanding of Civil 3D template and able to update as required.
• Knowledge and experience generating material quantities, cost estimates, Tender document and Specifications.
• Understanding of other utility parameters, clash detection for preparing conflict free design.
• Experienced working in various platforms including Projectwise, ACC.
• Knowledge and experience in preparation of sewer design sheets and other translation methods to coordinate with modeling, analysis, design and reports.
• Coordinate and communicate/ collaborate design information and project drawings with designers, project managers, CAD staff, and others.
• Mentor and provide training to designers for team skill development.
• Develop and utilize knowledge of requirements of review agencies including municipalities, Regions, Conservation Authorities, NEC, etc.
• Obtain materials, data and information from various sources to prepare reports and advance design efforts.
• Critical thinking: thinking through problems with a drive to provide alternate solution to issues positively to resolution.
  

Your Work Environment at EXP

• Bachelor’s Degree / C.E.T. with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Civil Land Development / Site Civil / Utility Design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize multiple project deliverables in short timelines.
• Knowledgeable with MicroStation, Openroads Designer.
• Knowledgeable in the design of sanitary and storm sewer systems, water distribution system.
• Knowledgeable in the design of roads, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, stormwater management, grading, and earthworks.
• Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards.
• Understand and follow requirements for Residential, Commercial and Industrial site grading.
• Earthwork’s concept and cost consideration skills.
• Understand various constraints and impact of design to these constraints.
• Good understanding of Design criteria/guidelines.
• Understand Municipality / Agency specific SWM and other design criteria and implement on projects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• CADD Drafting Assessment to be passed.
• Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D’ is preferable or able to get certified within first 3 months.
