Your work environment at EXP

We seek a talented Junior Hydrogeologist to join our team in the Markham, ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in a wide variety of physical hydrogeology projects.
  • Participate in contaminant hydrogeology projects.
  • Work will include dewatering projects, well testing, environmental impact assessments, water supply work and groundwater modeling.
  • Conduct field investigations including groundwater investigations, water sampling, infiltration tests, slug/bail and pumping tests, groundwater/surface water sampling.
  • Conduct field programs to map hydrogeological features, geological logging, drilling supervision and installation of groundwater instrumentation.
  • Evaluation of test results, interpretation of groundwater chemical results, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of applicable environmental laws in the Province of Ontario.

What your experience looks like

  • Environmental Technician, Bachelor's degree in geology/hydrogeology or related discipline is essential.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred. Entry level are encouraged to apply.
  • Consulting experience is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with common groundwater and other relevant software will be a plus (eg: Aqtesolv, AquiferTest, ArcGIS, and ACCESS).
  • A valid driver's license with own vehicle and travel throughout GTA and Southern Ontario is required.
