Be our next Structural Designer!
In this role, you will be a part of the Oil and Gas & Chemical team, based in the Brampton office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Produce structural engineering 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Smart Plant 3D, Revit and/or Cadworx software for industrial structural infrastructure such as steel racks and supports, building structures and accessories, concrete foundations, concrete and steel piles, stairs, platforms and ladders,
- Produce material quantity take offs
- Working with various CADD software including Revit, Smart Plant 3D, Cadworx
- The Structural Designer will work alongside more experienced engineers and designers to perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks
- Sound understanding of the discipline’s common designs and materials
- Produce final civil and structural deliverable drawings
- Work under general supervision and complete familiar assignments and solve problems of detail or presentation without direct supervision
What your experience looks like
- Five (5) years of structural/civil experience in heavy industrial applications
- Expert level knowledge of the 3D design process and preparation of construction documents
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD required
- Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel required
- Positive team player
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and client focused
- Ability to prioritize tasks, met deadlines and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
