What is the opportunity?

Our RBC Insurance Digital & Data (D&D) team is currently hiring a Journey Portfolio Manager. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Product Management team, providing leadership and support to ensure successful planning and execution of prioritized work for RBCI, and you will support our agile transformation roadmap and strategy execution.

This role requires demonstrated knowledge of project management and agile methodology coupled with strong leadership skills.

What will you do?

•Develop and maintain strong partnership with Product Management, providing support and planning to Journey: participating in pipeline review, meeting with stakeholders to confirm details, assist with prioritization, aligning work to Roadmaps and OKRs, informing Journey backlog and linking to Squad backlogs within Journey, benefit tracking in accordance with OKRs

•Stakeholder and relationship management/Risk & Issue Management/Leadership: participation in Program and Portfolio level ceremonies/routines and collaborate with other Journey Portfolio Managers to mitigate dependencies and risks within and between Journeys, and to facilitate discussions and identify synergies regarding pipeline, WIP, and roadmaps aligned to OKRs

•Monitoring Progress/Communication/Reporting: support backlog refinement activities and facilitates project change stories, streamlined launch approvals, etc. and support Product Management team through required processes, including PAR, RTA, Benefit tracking, etc.

•Financial Management: responsible for updates in Planview, applicable Funding Instructions, facilitating payment of invoices (Coupa), etc. to ensure accurate financial reporting and inform financial planning for Journeys throughout the fiscal year including responsibility for PAR leadership, management, and organization

•Leadership/Elevate Performance of Journey and Squads: using an Agile mindset, promote innovative/improved methods to get work done and implement best practices; identify missing capabilities or techniques and offer solutions

What will you need to succeed?

Must-have

•1 to 3 years Project Management/Agile experience

•Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to lead change

•Strong understanding of, and experience with, RBC's Agile project management frameworks and tools (e.g. Planview, Jira, Confluence)

•Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated impact and influence and conflict resolution skills

Nice to Have

•Program Management or Program Control Officer experience

•Certified Product Owner (CSPO)

•Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Designation

•Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation
