In this position, you will be working out of our Equipment Division - Oxford Builders Supplies Inc.

Oxford Builders Supplies Inc is growing and looking for a dedicated team member to deliver world class Construction Hoist & Scaffold Services to our valued clients across Ontario. Our Toronto, ON branch is looking for a Director to lead our team with the safe delivery of construction hoists and scaffolding services. The Director works under the general direction of the SVP and Operations Manager and is fully responsible and accountable for the construction hoist division servicing the Ontario construction industry

As a Business Development Manager, you will come into work every day knowing that you are a key part of building new and exciting projects and will enjoy managing the growth and development of our company.

In the position of a Business Development Manager, we would ask you to do the following:

  • Assist in the development and execution of area objectives and strategies in support of the overall company business development goals
  • Prepare and execute business development action plans for specific regions and targets (Alberta)
  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations and brochure materials
  • Develop and actively track a sales pipeline, with monthly reporting to management that lists sales activities and approximate timing for proposal and bid submittals
  • Drive business growth through proactively identifying new opportunities and successfully closing sales opportunities, and developing and fostering relationships in the market
  • Determine and implement creative business development strategies that will positively contribute to the growth of the company
  • You have the ability to develop strong relationships with Clients to ensure continual business growth within the company
  • Forecasting staffing needs and corresponding skills, knowledge and experience; identification of recruitment sources, advertising.

Sounds challenging and exciting right? Here are a few of the attributes and experience you need to be successful in this position:

  • Advanced knowledge of construction equipment (technology, equipment, methods), typical procedures and standards.
  • Direct experience in leading self-performed form work projects; planning, scheduling, managing productivity, quality analysis - mandatory requirement.
  • Working knowledge of union jurisdiction and labour agreements.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • You have an advanced knowledge of construction equipment rental and sales and have the ability to close and negotiate deals in conjunction with estimating and management of project
