The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Analyst will take the lead on designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining our data warehouse infrastructure and creating a future vision for BI at Flynn Group of Companies. We're looking for someone who can design, build, and maintain the full data and analytics technical stack. This includes data warehouse architecture, BI application infrastructure and data visualizations (dashboards and reports).

Key Responsibilities:
· Data Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document reporting needs. Translate these requirements into technical specifications and actionable development tasks. Develop and update documentation for all IT Business Intelligence and analytics deliverables. Facilitate workshops collecting and analyzing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that will support business growth.
· Dashboard & Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric.
· Ad Hoc Reporting: Develop customized reports and visualizations in response to ad hoc requests, providing timely and relevant insights based on immediate business requirements.
· Trend Identification: Analyze data and identify trends to provide actionable insights. Propose improvements to existing reports and dashboards based on data-driven findings and user feedback. Complete detailed analysis of data before reporting findings and data-driven recommendations to the leaders and decision makers.
· Cloud Database Management: Manage and optimize cloud-hosted databases for effective data retrieval and manipulation. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
· CI/CD Implementation: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for BI report and dashboard development. Ensure efficient and reliable deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
· Best Practices & Standards: Apply best practices for data warehousing and BI development. Implement standards for data quality, security, and governance. Co-own and maintain IT repository of metric definitions, ensuring clarity and consistency in partnership with IT Business Analysts. Maintain a security plan for our data and analytics including delivery of role-based access control on all aspects of the system to ensure confidential and sensitive information is protected.
· Performance Tuning & Maintenance: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and ensure efficient data retrieval and report generation. Partner with IT teams to communicate software upgrades and release cycles. Perform data profiling to identify anomalies, review and validate incoming data sets.
· Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials. Provide training and support to end-users as needed. Develop and update documentation for all IT Business Intelligence and analytics deliverables
· Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with business team SMEs (Finance, Operations, Manufacturing), IT infrastructure, DBAs, and other team members to integrate BI solutions into the broader data ecosystem. Actively participate and drive project planning and status meetings related to BI initiatives. Collaborate with various departments and staff members to develop a solid understanding of Flynn business and the metrics that drive performance.
· Data Integration: Integrate multiple and new data sources into existing data warehouses. Ensure seamless data flow, consistency, and accuracy across all integrated sources. Test and validates data to ensure data integrity and accuracy of data flows to and from the data warehouse as well as between connected apps.
· Troubleshooting & Support: Provide support for BI report implementations, addressing and resolving issues related to data accuracy, report performance, and user access. Troubleshoot and debug BI solutions to ensure optimal functionality. Conduct data quality checks while ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all data sources before implementing findings

What We Are Seeking:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BI development.
· Technical Skills:
o Expertise in PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric for data visualization and dashboard development.
o Proven experience with cloud-hosted databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, MongoDB).
o Experience with Crystal Reports, Python, (QlikView/QlikSense, Nprinting and Tableau experience is valuable as well)
o Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data storage solutions.
o Ability to create ad hoc reports and perform detailed data analysis.
o Experience integrating multiple and new data sources into existing data warehouses.
o Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
o Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
o Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance.
o Experience with the Microsoft data stack (T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS, VB, VBA, VB.net, Access)
· Leadership: Ability to provide direction to stakeholders to ensure that solutions are effective and in keeping with the overall IT strategy.
· Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations.
· Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI solutions, including data accuracy, performance, and implementation challenges.
· Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present technical information and insights to non-technical stakeholders. You are equally adept at communicating your ideas and vision to C-suite executives as well as operational team members.
· Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate BI solutions.
· Ownership & Self-Organization: Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment with shifting priorities, and the ability to reassess and reprioritize competing business needs.
