Job Description

Summary:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a CMMS Master Data Administrator and address a sophisticated role. You will coordinate all aspects of the site's CMMS (Maximo) administration, including new asset registration and leading work requests/orders. You will also handle user access and training for the CMMS system. Additionally, you will provide backup for preventive maintenance planning and scheduling, and support CMMS system audits.

Main Functions:

  • Develop, build, and maintain job plans and PM tasks within CMMS, ensuring timely updates and communications. Collaborate with the Global One Maximo and Reliability Engineering teams for any changes or corrections in the Maximo CMMS system.
  • Ensure timely communications to all impacted teams regarding any CMMS Maximo outages and implement plans for business continuity.
  • Provide key reports, metric measurements, and progress updates on planned work, addressing repetitive issues related to the CMMS application.
  • Develop and provide internal site training for personnel on CMMS functionality. Act as the SME/point of contact for CMMS Maximo functionality and liaise with the Global OMX team for support or issue training for the site.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking and GMP completion of all work requests for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborate with various groups (e.g., Reliability, Maintenance, Facility, Inventory Control, Capital Projects) to collect and improve various service levels, min/max settings, backorders, work planning, and bill of materials.
  • Gather data for maintenance schedule alignment and work with the CMMS Planner/Scheduler to ensure accurate work order scheduling and configurations in the Maximo/CMMS system.
  • Develop and deliver Maximo training modules from Train-the-Trainer through to user-level.
  • Work with the implementation provider of system upgrades to ensure the application version is current and update relevant site records.
  • Serve as a backup for the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
  • Initiate and work on additional projects, including improvement (PPI) projects with the core team.
  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work as needed.

Required qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience with CMMS Software (Maximo preferred) in a manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
  • Experience using databases and key process indicator metrics reporting.
  • Preferably, experience in the pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry.

Equivalency:

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo) with the ability to analyze data for trends/reports.
  • Solid grasp of CMMS workflows and data standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diligent with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, taking full ownership of assigned work.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
