Join our Agricultural Solutions Expert Services unit, where we deliver high-quality IT and Data delivery to various teams within the Agricultural Solutions operating division of BASF. As a Delivery - Toronto Hub Team Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Leading and managing a team of 15 to 20 direct reports, each bringing unique technical skills to support our IT Product Delivery Teams.
  • Collaborating with the Functional lead(s). You will be responsible for aligning new requirements with team capacity, setting objectives, and regularly assessing performance through ongoing feedback.
  • Spearheading a group focused on ITIL, ensuring effective IT service management. This includes overseeing the adoption and integration of the ITIL framework and its associated practices within the organization. You will ensure that key ITIL processes—such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Level Management—are tailored and implemented to address the specific needs of our operations. Providing guidance on best practices, facilitating training sessions, and ensuring all team members understand their roles in the ITIL framework are critical components of this responsibility.
  • Establishing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of ITIL processes. You will regularly assess these processes, gather feedback, analyze performance data, and make necessary adjustments to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Playing a crucial role in overseeing the communication, planning, and maintenance of multiple digital products, initiatives, and technical platforms. You will work closely with the Head of IT Solution and Data delivery colleagues to guide, communicate, and align on shared timelines and goals, ensuring the overall consistency of the Agricultural Division's digital landscape.
  • Facilitating effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders to achieve service delivery objectives and timelines by maintaining strong relationships with internal partners in the Agricultural Solutions divisions and other BASF units. Ultimately, your leadership will drive the success of AP Information Technology initiatives and technical platforms, significantly contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of BASF's digital operations.

If you have...

  • Completed a diploma or master's degree in IT and/or in Business Informatics.
  • Initial professional experience as well as initial experience in employee management preferable
  • Experience in agriculture is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating team members. Capable of facilitating collaboration across various departments and effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in German considered an additional advantage.
  • Understanding of ITIL Framework: possess extensive knowledge of the ITIL framework, including its principles, processes, and best practices. This includes familiarity with the various ITIL service lifecycle stages—Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement.
  • Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or higher-level ITIL certifications is preferable.
