Position: Global Security Operator (Mississauga)

Type: Full- Time

Schedule: 0700 - 19:00 (Wk 1: Mon. Tue, Fri, Sat. & Wk 2: Sun, Wed, & Thur.)

Rate: $21.00 per hour

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Global Security Operator for a site in Mississauga. As a security guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Quickly assess and respond to security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect security breaches or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with security personnel, law enforcement, and other relevant parties during incidents.
  • Document and report all incidents accurately and promptly, ensuring detailed records are maintained.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to manage and resolve security incidents.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance of security systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on security protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure all security operations comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirement:

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must have a valid G driver's license.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • Previous experience in a security operations center or similar environment.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with security systems and technology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and monitor multiple screens simultaneously.
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
