MHICA's technicians build and join wing assemblies and fuselage sections, as well as perform systems and flight control assembly installations and testing. Scope of Position Reporting to the Manager - Tooling, the Junior Engineer - Tooling is responsible for the Design of New / Modification of Existing Aerospace Tools & Fixtures & to support and oversee their Manufacture / Modification / Installation using both Internal Resource & External Vendors. Have a basic understanding of Tool Fabrication Methods, both conventional and CNC, support implementation of new tooling and work productively with other employees within the organization. Be able to oversee small projects independently and keep management updated accordingly. Skills and Qualifications Ability to use CATIA V5 & Enovia / 3D Experience Understanding of aircraft components and aircraft axis system Ability to read and interpret drawings Basic understanding of GD&T. Basic understanding of tool design. Working knowledge of aerospace materials and processes Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Great problem solving, communication skills and listening skills. Support all first article inspection requirements for tooling Ability to maintain a safe working environment. Experience 0-2 years experience of CATIA V5 design & Enovia / 3D Experience 0-2 years experience in Aerospace Tool Engineering (including Design and Fabrication) Experience with assembly & inspection processes using Laser Tracker Technology would be considered an asset. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Aerospace Preferred). Please note - the Company will conduct a criminal background check upon hire. Why MHICA?
