Under the direction of the Supervisor, Stores the successful candidate will provide maintenance parts in a timely, cost-efficient fashion, and manage inventory, while providing one to one customer service, on a daily basis to both internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Supervisor, the incumbent is:
NOTE:
• Overtime call-ins will be required.
• Shift work may be required.
• Physical demands of the position include; frequent lifting, standing, bending and carrying equipment of approximately 20 kg or greater.
• Perform duties in both indoor and outdoor setting, often exposed to varying climate conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Minimum grade 12 education is required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
• 240P Parts Technician trades certificate or equivalent education and experience in inventory management.
• Minimum of 5 years inventory management /stockroom/order desk/purchasing related experience in automotive industry; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Extensive knowledge related to parts and inventory management is required.
• Knowledge of contract management is essential.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Rules, WHIMS, and Hazardous Goods preferred.
• Ability to use equipment parts manuals related to Bus, Commercial Vehicles, Light Trucks, off road light and heavy equipment.
• Good organizational skills along with ability to plan
• Strong analytical skills with ability to attend accurately to details.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service to effectively deal with staff and suppliers/vendors.
• Experience with an automated fleet maintenance system is essential, basic knowledge of MS office computer applications
• Must have the ability to travel and provide own transportation.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 58,942.00 - $ 78,592.00
