The Parts Supervisor is responsible for leading their team to operational excellence and ensuring parts are available for Service and Collision teams. Leading by example, the Parts Supervisor engages in the tasks needed to operate a successful parts department and drives the local team towards continuous improvement in the forms of team performance, organization projects, process deep dives, and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Do
Site leader for a team of 4-10 Parts Advisors responsible for setting clear goals and expectations and managing all Supply Chain activities
Review all fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve, and own team metrics at the assigned site(s)
Manage location schedules based on needs of the business and assigned resources, efficiently fulfilling demand by leading receiving, pick, pack and ship fulfillment work
Maintain alignment with Service leadership, Regional Parts Managers, Programs, and Sr. Leadership and builds alignment within team
Drive the implementation of new initiatives ensuring the team constantly works towards achieving the standards agreed with management and business partners
Evaluate Parts Advisor job performance and general behavior, and coach Parts Advisors towards personal and professional development, interview and help recruit candidates to build a World Class team
Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment
What You'll Bring
Track record of elevating team performance through continuous improvement, planning, delegation, and a proven ability to execute complex plans leveraging team member strengths
Lead by example, performing the work at a high level and fine-tuning local-level procedures to create efficiencies within team (while following standards)
Highly organized, in both documentation and physical inventory aspects
Demonstrates proficiency with computer programs and Tesla-internal applications (advanced Excel spreadsheets, supply-chain related databases, ticketing systems)
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought. Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
Flexible to travel within region to support other sites
2+ years of work experience in Supply Chain (or external experience as Parts Shop Manager or Supply Chain Manager; preferably with people management)
