The Climate Smart Buildings Alliance (CSBA) is a not-for-profit initiative led by EllisDon, Mattamy Homes and RBC aimed at leading and accelerating the transition to a net zero buildings sector across Canada. Designed as a think-and-do tank, CSBA will lead a series of action projects aimed at solving persistent systems barriers and unlocking new climate smart business opportunities.

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and passionate Project Manager to support and lead the delivery of pivotal CSBA action projects aimed at driving systems change across the buildings sector. The ideal candidate will be a nimble and flexible sustainability leader interested in driving action. They will be able to independently spearhead project management activities, support broader strategy development and work with the CSBA director, members organizations and other industry and government stakeholders to move from insight to action.

You as a Project Manager will:

  • Independently manage and deliver CSBA projects, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes align with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate between multiple stakeholders to align and fuse complex ideas.
  • Analyze research, industry trends and stakeholder insights impacting sustainability to help develop programs with tangible outcomes..
  • Coordinate and support communications efforts, including crafting updates, website copy and reports for various projects and audiences.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the CSBA Executive Committee and Champions Group, providing insightful updates and receiving strategic guidance
  • Support advocacy and support collaborations for industry-wide change including with partner companies, consulting firms, associations, and governments.
  • Promote awareness of sustainability efforts and share best practices with stakeholders to achieve consensus on common goals.


Is this the right role for you?

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Educational background in Sustainability, Design/Systems Thinking, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, , Public Affairs, or equivalent experience
  • Strong passion for sustainability and improving the building environment.
  • Ability to develop, build and leverage networks in cross-sectoral collaboration with both the private and public sectors.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in Project or Program Management while collaborating and creating transformational impact.
  • Ability to succeed in leading and influencing internal and external decision holding stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to write effective, concise, and persuasive reports.
