Your Role

As Team Leader of the Operational Care team, you are responsible to support your team to deliver an extraordinary customer experience. You and your team are responsible for overseeing all daily activities related to the transportation and movement of goods, including Pharmaceutical products and dangerous goods, from the port to the final destination. Your role is focused on operational excellence enable by timely dispatch, resolving operational issues and handling escalations. All of which are supported with clear KPI's. You act as first level support and lead and train new and existing staff on operational procedures and standards to ensure quality service. Your goal is to deliver an extraordinary customer and employee experience and ensure transparency and neutrality of the OCC performance towards all Canadian branches.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the OCC CS and notify in case of holds, delays and deviations
  • Overseeing the timely execution of daily tasks including, but not limited to processing delivery confirmation of cargo to OCC Customer Service Team.
  • Provide Support to GSC Team for missing information/details for including Delivery Codes, contact information, etc.
  • Lead Operational staff with day-to-day operations, act as first level escalation for problem solving.
  • Ensure compliance with internal working instructions
  • Identify problems in the processes/systems and take necessary corrective actions
  • Conduct BP audits to ensure compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot customs and SSL line holds, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
  • Onboard new talent to the team by ensuring they are confident to perform within the role.
  • Monitoring reports on a daily basis for missing events, E-documents, and dispatch/ pick up of containers.
  • Review notice of arrival documents to ensure compliance with Canadian legislation
  • Follow policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance with all regulations pertaining to Pharmaceutical and Dangerous Goods products.
  • Ensure 100% compliance on Code of Conduct
  • Other duties may be assigned by the company

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Degree in supply chain management or similiar field preferred
  • +3 years' experience in the Freight forwarding, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation industry experience is required.
  • Managerial experience of operational department preferred
  • Certified CIFFA, CITT or equivalent required - Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft 365 required
