Position Summary

Thales requires a Customer Asset Management Specialist to conduct, contribute and assist in the preparation and delivery of various asset management requirements identifying any new additional efforts required to add and/or divest assets as part of the contract and as required by the customer.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop asset management plans based on customer's requirements.
  • Identify both core and emergent resources required to review the assets technical data.
  • Identify resources and time to add the technical data, including but not limited the preventive maintenance Schedule, PM Routines, corrective maintenance instructions and survey schedule to the maintenance information system (MIS).
  • Identify Resources (Core and Emergent) and time to link all technical data to the Contractor's Collaborative Environment.
  • Identify Resources (Core and Emergent) and time to create and missing maintenance technical documentation.
  • Identify potential risks foreseen by the Contractor with the introduction of the new asset and their mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An Engineering degree or two-year diploma from a recognized university or college (mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability or naval engineering) or certified as one the following technical trades of the Royal Canadian Navy:

  • Marine Technician RQ-PO2
  • Weapons Engineer Technician RQ-PO2
  • Legacy QL 6A Marine Engineer
  • Legacy QL 6A Marine Electrician
  • Legacy QL 6A Hull Technician
  • Legacy QL 6A Naval Electronics Technician
  • Legacy QL 6A Naval Weapons Technician.

  • Five years or more experience within the last 10 years of demonstrated marine professional work experience in the marine sector.

Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Physical Environment: Hybrid position - which is a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or onboard ships alongside in harbour).
  • Travel: Occasional domestic travel maybe required in support of the ships.
