Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Inspection division to develop new inspection business, prepare deficiency quotations, as well as maintaining our existing clientele. You will also estimate contracts following inspections made by our technicians for recommendations to the customer's life safety systems. Among other things, your responsibilities will be to :

  • Gain new inspection business;
  • Meet with clients to identify their needs in terms of Life Safety Systems including but not limited to fire alarm, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers;

  • Prepare work estimates (inspection & deficiencies) and follow-up on quotations;

  • Elaborate a work calendar if necessary;

  • Identify all necessary resources to complete the project;

  • Evaluate additional costs if necessary;

  • Ensure an after-sale follow-up with the customer;

  • Prepare all documents necessary for opening contracts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • College diploma in fire protection or experience working with commercial building mechanical or electronic systems (an asset);
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience;

  • Experience working on tender submission through bid sites;

  • Experience writing proposals or estimates for building maintenance (an asset);

  • Knowledge of products used in fire protection;

  • Consultative selling skills, self-motivated and self-driven with ability to work remotely with minimal supervision;

  • Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities;

  • Customer service oriented.
