Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. About the Role

This position involves working as a member of a team on the manufacturing of assembly product, and includes meeting all quality, safety and productivity objectives as set out by Dortec management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Part-Time Assembler position for Saturday and Sunday shift only.
  • Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Shift available: Day Shift (6:00AM-2:00PM/6:30AM-2:30PM) or Afternoon Shift (2:00PM-10:00PM/2:30PM-10:30PM)
  • Operate various machines involved in the assembly and testing of parts by inspecting and inserting appropriate pieces, activating machine, receiving and inspecting assembled parts, and placing them in the appropriate bin or box
  • Perform in-process quality checks and data accumulation as per the control plans
  • May rotate to and operate all machines in assembly
  • May be required to hand assemble pieces or components as required
  • Carry out quality control inspections on all assembled parts by machine or other methods as instructed
  • Notify line leader or supervisor in the event of a machine, fixture, assembly, or part problem

Who we are looking for

  • No educational requirement.
  • Less than 1 year of work related experience.
  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D) equivalency preferred.
  • Comprehend the three main control factors of a production plant: NG (no good parts), DT (downtime), CT (cycle time).
